Leveraging Cloud to Accelerate Unmanned and Autonomous System (UAS) Mission Critical Capabilities

The DoD is rapidly shifting focus toward Unmanned Autonomous Systems (UAS), with senior leaders across all services emphasizing UAS as critical to future operations. Integrating various technologies across UAS to improve situational awareness, decision-making, and operational effectives across the DoD is imperative to gain a competitive advantage over our adversaries. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and our partners recognize the importance of this and are driving innovation across the entire lifecycle; from design /development to deployment, operations, and sustainment, catering to aerial, ground, surface, and underwater systems for both manufacturers (i.e. DIB/MIB) and our DoD customers, we're helping solve new and existing challenges. AWS is excited to present a suite of services that can support mission critical capabilities required for mission owners to develop autonomous cloud solutions. For example, customers can leverage AI/ML and GenAI for mission planning, terrain analysis, and creating digital twins to simulate the mission. Cloud tools enable sensor calibration, system diagnostics, and secure communications setup. During the deployment phase, we power autonomous navigation using advanced pathfinding algorithms, sensor fusion, and dynamic re-routing based on real-time data. Best practices will be discussed to evangelize the unique advantages mission owners can use today in the cloud. Participants will leave the presentation with a better understanding of the realm of the possible, and how to accelerate ideas from a conceptual stage to overall mission operations.
