CWO3 Whitehead was raised in Easton, PA. In July of 2006, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps shorty after graduating high school and reported to Recruit Training aboard MCRD Parris Island, SC.
After graduating from Recruit Training and completing follow-on Marine Combat Training, Private Whitehead reported to his MOS school aboard Camp Pendleton, California. As an Amphibious Assault Vehicle Mechanic, PFC Whitehead, reported for duty at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California. While here, LCpl Whitehead deployed in 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Iraq. In 2009, Cpl Whitehead deployed on the 13 MEU.
In 2009, Sgt Whitehead received orders to 2d Assault Amphibian Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to serve as the Maintenance Chief. In 2011, Sgt Whitehead deployed on Southern Partnership Station 11. Upon return, served as the Platoon Sergeant until 2013 when he was deployed as the GCE Maintenance Chief on the 26 MEU.
In 2015, SSgt Whitehead moved to Quantico, Virgina to work as the Ordnance Subject Matter Expert at the GCSS-MC program office.
In January of 2016, SSgt Whitehead reported to The Basic School, Quantico, Virginia to attend Warrant Officer Basic Course. After graduating in May, Warrant Officer Whitehead attended his follow on school in Fort Lee, Virginia to become a Ground Ordnance Vehicle Maintenance Officer.
After graduation, Warrant Officer Whitehead was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 2 as the Maintenance Management Officer and deployed in 2018 to Moron, Spain on SPMAGTF-CR-AF 18.2.
In July of 2019, CWO Whitehead was assigned as the Mainteance Officer of the Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch.
