Description
In the absence of generally accepted standards and regulations, the state of blockchain application development invariably is akin to the wild west. Given the uncertainties and massive volatility with associated blockchain applications, specifically, cryptocurrencies, which has turned many of our heads to think that we are the precipice of the next evolution of the “Internet” and the digital currencies. Before we indulge ourselves into this new dawn and disruptive technology, entrepreneurs, developers, enterprises should ask a very important question: “Is Blockchain as secure as it appears to be?” Under the ever-increasing pressure of the new DFAR requirements and the GDPR hefty fines, what are the fundamental cybersecurity hygiene techniques we need to implement when we adopt blockchain or associated cryptocurrency implications? This presentation discusses how cybersecurity assurance is necessary when deploying capability into a blockchain platform. The speaker will discuss blockchain use cases and how to employ cybersecurity practices to ensure needed security features. That is, innovate purposefully and securely with ability to counter bad actors and visibility to the threat vectors.
